Urban Ground is a year-round, vibrant community hub where people can meet and enjoy multiple, changing cuisines from around the world. It includes a food truck park, a kids’ play area with half-court basketball and handball, grandstand seating, an indoor restaurant and cafe, alfresco dining, indoor/outdoor bar and a fully operational distillery. Urban Ground offers a unique dining experience away from the city — at the source of production.
Existing buildings are retained and eroded structures form ruins. Nature reclaims the site, creating pockets for occupation and flexible food and beverage opportunities within a park-like setting.
We acknowledge the Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation, the Traditional Custodians of the land upon which Urban Ground stands. We recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture.
