Congratulations to the incredible team at NH Architecture, Russell & George, and Wurundjeri-willam artist Mandy Nicholson for being awarded the Allan and Beth Coldicutt Award for Sustainable Architecture at this year’s Victorian Institute of Architects Awards for their project Burwood Brickworks.

Burwood Brickworks is incredibly inspiring to us here at Breathe, being the world’s first Living Building Challenge-certified project (no mean feat!), achieving new standards in sustainability and being recognised as the world’s most sustainable shopping centre.⁠

⁠Huge shout-out to the design team, Frasers Property Australia for championing the project, Hacer for a great build, and importantly Stephen Choi for his tireless vision. We bow down. ⁠⁠Because of this project, all the project we create in the future will be better.⁠⁠
